Delron® Sandwich Panel Inserts

Delron® inserts are used primarily to provide a hard mounting point sandwhich structure panels. Structutral type inserts offer maximum shear and column strength by gripping and supporting the face sheets from within the core area of the sandwich panel. Potted in inserts are mounted through a single hole in the panle and resist shear and tension through a knurled flange on the body where potting compound flows.

100-Series

100 Series, Delron® Sandwich Panel Inserts - Grommet

Traditional “two-piece” grommet type inserts with “interference interlock”. For use as attachment points in honeycomb or sandwich panels. Requires access to both sides of the panel.

Capabilities
Shear and compression loading. Minimum tension capabilities.

Flush or Non-Flush Head Styles:
  • Thru-Rivet
  • Thru-Bolt
  • Threaded
  • Threaded with Non-Metallic Thread Lock
  • Threaded with Helical Coil
Installation
  • One Diameter Thru-Hole

400-Series

400 Series, Delron® Sandwich Panel Inserts - Potted-In

Structural capability insert potted or molded into place, requires access to one side of the panel only.

Capabilities
High pull-out strength. Positive sealing.
